Dr. Rothstein is a graduate of SUNY at Buffalo Dental School with a DDS in 1973. His initial passion for dentistry stemmed from helping his brother at his own dental lab in New York. By closely examining the form and function of teeth, Rothstein knew he wanted to go into dentistry.
After graduating, he completed a one-year residency at Meyer Memorial Hospital. Then, he joined an established practice in Levittown, New York. During the 1980s, he made a visit to Coral Springs and passed the Florida Dental Boards. He realized that moving to Coral Springs is beneficial to his family’s lifestyle.
Dr. Rothstein has been practicing dentistry in Coral Springs for 30 years before joining the Paramount Smile team. He is proud to work every day with a caring staff, that is dedicated to providing high-quality dentistry for all patients.
Dr. Shapiro attended Rutgers University in New Jersey, and attained his Bachelor’s degree. He received his Doctorate of Dentistry from Temple University Kornberg School in Philadelphia. After graduating, he completed a Periodontology residency at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine.
He specializes in periodontics with an emphasis on treating gum disease. Dr. Shapiro performs oral surgery services such as dental implants in the Coral Springs area. He was previously President of the Broward County Dental Association and is its acting treasurer.
Shapiro is a former delegate of the House of Delegates to the Florida Dental Association, which is the governing body for the Florida Dental Association. He is also a former member of the Atlantic Coast Executive Counsel while being an adjunct professor at Nova Southeastern Dental School in Davie.

Dr. Cohen graduated with a Doctoral degree from New York University College of Dentistry. He is a proud recipient of the Irwin Raymond Thall Memorial Award for Clinical Dentistry and was elected into the National Honorary Dental Society Omicron Kappa Epsilon. In addition, he received the Alpha Omega Award for remarkable scholastic achievements.
After graduating, he joined a private dental practice in Westchester County, New York. He was ranked top of the program while completing advanced Post-Doctoral Specialty Training in Orthodontics.
With over 30 years of practicing Orthodontics for South Florida locals, he is dedicated to each and every smile. To ensure high-quality dentistry, Dr. Cohen is always staying on top of advancements in orthodontic technology while undertaking additional training.
In his spare time, you can find Cohen spending time with his wife, Ellen, their family, traveling, skiing, and scuba diving.
